An introduction to the art of dance, this class allows a dancer to explore movement and creativity with the body while also building a foundation of skills. Intended for artists ages 18 months to 3 years.
This class can be a great place to begin dance exploration, or to grow it ones known skills. This combo class consist of 3 styles: Ballet, Jazz, and Tap. This class is intended for artists ages 3 years to 5 years.
This class builds posture, flexibility, balance, strength, musicality, self- discipline and confidence, which is the core of every dancers abilities. As the basis of dance, it is used in the foundations of many other dance genres and is imperative to the proper training of all dancers.
This energetic styles combines the basics of ballet, modern and African dance, ads upbeat music and gives dance some attitude! Jazz promotes strength, flexibility, musicality and coordination which are used to prefect an artists leaps, turns, balances and other skills. Classes will include warm up, across the floor, center and choreography.
Adding a level of fluidity in movement to gymnastic based skills, this class allows dancers to learn various flips and balances. With a focus on strengthening each acro dancer, they will learn tools to safely and confidently perform skills such as cartwheels, backbends, back walkovers, aerials, back handsprings and more.
A combo class structured to introduce and train various leaps and turns technique, which is used heavily in contemporary dance; a mix of ballet, modern and jazz, allowing open creativity. This dance form trains an artist to express emotion in their choreography by using their bodies. Intended for experienced dancers, ages 8+.
Danced with a special shoe meant to allow the artist to make sounds with their feet, forming rhythms and beats from the movements.
This style features movements which can be rigid, fluid, fast, slow or a mixture of all of the above. Its a very expressive form of dance, often done to upbeat music with heavy or very clear beats. Dancers will learn isolations using multiple parts of their bodies to create rhythms matching those in the music.
This class will mix stretch and strength, beginning class with a whole body warm up, learned dance workouts, and choreography challenging every brain and every body.
All levels and student placements are based primarily off of technique and skills which will be evaluated during class instruction.
